Lake Eacham

Lake Eacham is part of the Crater Lakes National Park near Cairns in Queensland. This is one of the most clearest lakes with some of the bluest water you will ever see. It is also one of the best swimming holes in the Cairns area. Make sure to bring your googles if you are into free diving, because this fresh water lake is magnificent. There is an access area for kayaks, swimming area and a swimming jetty. If you’re not into swimming then you can always watch the turtles and the fish from the viewing platform.

Note: This lake is home to one freshwater crocodile, but don’t be alarmed fresh water crocodiles will not attack or harm you unless they are threatened. It is perfectly safe to swim here.
