Big Mowbray Falls is located in the Mowbray National Park south of Mossman. There is a small swimming hole or rock pool at the top of the falls. It’s not very deep but it’s a great place for cooling down after the walk. To get to the falls drive along Black Mountain Road and park where it meets the Bump Track. Hike along the Bump Track and take a left turn after 1.4km. From here it’s another 1.8km to the top of the Big Mowbray Falls. The hike is 3.2km one way in total. This is quite a secluded swimming hole if you are looking for a quiet place to swim, don’t expect to see too many people here.
