South Pine River

There are a few nice swimming holes located along the South Pine River near the Samford Valley. The swimming holes are not signposted and you will have to look carefully for the walking tracks or you will miss them. Look for small pull off areas along the road verge on Mount Glorious Road. The walking tracks start the other side of the guard rails so they are almost impossible to see while driving. Pull over and have a peek over the guard railings. If it is a hot day you will see other cars parked along the road here.

Directions

From Samford Village.
*Head west along Mount Glorious Road.
*When you reach the hills you will cross a bridge and there will be a large 2 story brick house on your left.
*The swimming holes are located from here on up.
*Park on the road verge and look for tracks leading down to the river.
