Enoggera Reservoir

Enoggera Reservoir is a popular swimming hole to the west of Brisbane city. The swimming hole is also known as Enoggera Dam. To access the Enoggera Reservoir you can park at the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre. This swimming hole can get quite busy on a hot day as it is so close to Brisbane. If you can’t find a park you can also find parking at The Gap Park ‘n’ Ride just south of the Discovery Centre. Swimming in the reservoir is free. There is a beach area and some shade among the gum trees. The water goes from shallow to a few metres deep. You can kayak the dam if you have a kayak, or pay to hire a kayak at the reservoir.
