Tea Tree Lake (Ti Tree Lake), Byron Bay, NSW

Ti Tree Lake (commonly misspelled as Tea Tree Lake) is a lake near the town of Byron Bay. If you are looking to bath in some oil infused water to revitalise your skin, then this is the place to do it. The water is extremely tanned from all the Ti Trees that surround the lake and as a result it is a very dark in colour. The lake is shallow so the temperature of the water is very pleasant even in the cooler months.

Directions to Ti Tree Lake

Ti Tree Lake is located 5km south of Byron Bay. How do you get to the Ti Tree Lake in Byron Bay? The best way to the get lake is to park on McGregor Street in Suffolk Park and then:

  • Walk down the path to the beach.
  • Turn right at the beach and walk south towards Broken Head for about 500 metres.
  • You will see a small creek cutting its way through the dunes and into the sea.
  • Follow the creek inland and it will bring you to Ti Tree Lake.
